Twenty Five Years ago the Hardware Industry was virtually controlled by Wholesale Hardware Merchants. The Wholesalers established their own forum called the Wholesale Hardware Association who dictated pricing to the Hardware Retail Trade…Plus Ten was established with the direct purpose of challenging this Wholesale Alliance to the benefit of Retailers & the Industry at large.

Due to market changes and economic realities in South Africa today, Plus Ten is adapting to the needs of our customers…The Hardware Retailer.

Many of our over 3200 customers are leveraging the excellent ranges and quality brands we are stocking. Exclusive Brands such as IRONMAN, POWR, RIGGER, SUPREME CLEAN and a range of “Sub-Brands” have been well supported and endorsed by the sales these brands have attracted.
In line with our rebranding efforts, we have modernised our call centre, done major upgrades to our CRM and ERP systems, implemented new methods to keep our customers informed, and have addressed the changing needs of meeting “Speed to Market” issues. It is always difficult to make the decision to change things when they are currently working. The old adage of “don’t fix it if it ‘aint broken” comes to mind, however, it is the wise businessmen that can foresee something that will break in the near future, and is brave enough to make the call to ensure that the business is structured to endure, and indeed prosper, from changes that are imminent.
Business cycles in TODAY’s market are similar to that of the technology world. Everything is on fast forward, and business must keep up.
