Being situated at Ixopo in the beautiful midlands, and Umzinto in the pristine south coast of Kwa-ZuluNatal, both areas being rural, impoverished and with high unemployment, interaction therefore with the community becomes not only strategic & important but imperative at times.
At the early stages when problems arose within these communities and requests for assistance was brought to us we reacted in an uncoordinated and ad-hoc fashion out of concern and good intentions. Our experiences have shown that various people actually hi-jack such process for personal gain and such good intentions can become a huge problem to manage.
We have since established our social responsibility reaction team and work via existing formal structures such as the Municipal Councils & organisations such as " The Gift of the Givers".
